Walking into this place, the smell of the smokehouse hits you, amazing! Walk up to the counter to place your order. I had smoked turkey, green beans with bacon, and fried okra, All very tasty. Others in our group said the Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, sweet tea was perfect. It's a small place but worth finding. Been in business since 1941.

I had wanted to go to Joe's BBQ located nearby but they were closed so we went to Dickey's instead. Despite it being only slightly after 6pm they were out of several meats (odd). I had the 2 meat plate and both the sliced brisket and pulled pork were only lukewarm and very, very fatty. Nothing like biting into lukewarm fatty meat. I also had the Jalepeno Beans and they were very bland. Wife had a pulled pork sandwich and it was also lukewarm and fatty.

We visited for a late night dinner and were told they were out of everything!!! Why wouldn't you just close then!?!? What a joke. There is no way for me to private message you because it's not on option on your business profile (as it is on other business' profiles). How am I suppose to follow up with you regarding your reply on my review previously?

The two employees that were there must either hate people or just hate their jobs because there was never a greeting from the girl that took the order nor a thank you from the fellow that took our money. Even more, there was never even a hint at a smile or a glance besides wishing my family would be murdered in our sleep later tonight. Oh, and the place seemed dirty, as evidenced by almost losing my sandles to the flypaper like sticky floors. "Heeeelp me!" Food was average as usual.

Food was awful, cold, and made my family Ill. The floors and counters were sticky and disgusting. The food was way overpriced for what you get. Never go back, even for free.

Great place for some great BBQ in Green Bay! The brisket is awesome with the spicy BBQ sauce on it. Great Mac n cheese too. Very friendly staff that makes you want to come back for more.

Disappointment. They were out three of their sides and of course they were the ones we wanted. The special was a very skimpy serving. Also out of large cups. The barbeque sauce dispenser was back in a corner and hard to reach. Kind of lame.

Was pretty disappointed, when this location when it first opened and for a good year or so it was really good. Went back the last couple times recently and it was really bad. Flavorless and dry

Stopped off at Dickey's for lunch. I've been to several Dickey's locations, but this was a first time for me in Green Bay. The place was clean and well-maintained, and the service was ok. The food was pretty mediocre (and cold) based on other Dickey's--pulled pork lacked that signature smoke taste, sauces were overly soupy, and everything fried was burnt to a crisp. Portions were also much smaller than I expected based on my experiences at other Dickey's. For two kids meals and two adult meals, the total was over $40, making this a tad too expensive for what you get. I probably won't go back to this location next time I'm in town.

Happened to be in the area when my flight out of Green Bay way cancelled. A surprisingly good and affordable place. Very friendly staff.

Great brisket sandwich. I agree with previous post, if you like the smokey flavor you will like this place. Actually tasted better without BBQ sauce.

Edible at best, forgot to give BBQ sauce with our order!!!!! Drive thru is a mess to figure out how to drive thru, luckily for us there were employees standing outside smoking to point us in the right direction :-(

My wife and I went to Dickey's for lunch. This was the first time eating here. Pat the manager and his staff greeted all the guests as they walked in the door. Pat waited on us and asked if we have ever been there before. Finding out we were virgins he came out from behind the counter and explained our choice's. He even asked if we wanted to see the smoker. He really made us feel like we were the most important customers he had. Now as far as the food, we had the ribs and brisket. When we were looking at the smoker my wife picked out the rack we wanted. OMG the ribs were awesome! A great smoke flavor and very meaty and done to perfection. The brisket was perfect, nice and moist and very tender. Oh yea our sides, baked beans and slaw. What else is there with bbq? Even the side were very good and fresh. We will be back again and again even though it is about an hour away. Try it and I am sure you we be as pleased as my wife and I were.

My family and I stopped here for supper. For 2 adults and 2 kids we spent $40 and threw away 90% of our food. We all ordered ribs and none of us could eat them. They were so over cooked and dried out that of the 2 bones I had, I got 5 bites, my kids had to spit all of their bites out because they could t chew it. The beans tasted like Bush baked beans. Certainly nothing special. My kids Mac & cheese was runny. We would have complained but when we were leaving there was not an employee in sight. The owner of this location did nothing to try to remedy the situation. The is by far the most expensive, worst food and absolutely WORST service I've EVER had.

I'd been meaning to try Dickey's since they opened in Green Bay, and I finally made it for dinner. I had the spicy polish sausage and chopped brisket, both of which were juicy and flavorful. The house BBQ sauces are thick and sweet, with a moderate amount of spice. They have a selection of about a dozen side dishes, of which I had jalapeno baked beans and fried okra. The baked beans were exceptional, and the fried okra was hot and crispy like fried okra should be. My expectations weren't necessarily that high, as I tend to be suspicious of quick-service chains. Dickey's is a bit more expensive than the typical "fast-food" restaurant, but all of the menu options I tasted were worth the price, and the portions were substantial. I left with a full stomach, and definitely will return.

Worst excuse for barbecue food. Ribs were dried out and chewy. A complaint at the restaurant resulted in no action taken. It seems that this restaurant does not care to keep customers happy. They will not get my repeat business! With so many good places to eat in the area do not waste your time on this bad experience. Waste of money.

I went into this place knowing what good BBQ was, so I wasn't expecting much. This food failed to meet my low expectations. The meat was awful; chewy and bland. The BBQ sauce was alright, if anything, it saved the meat. The sides ruined an already terrible meal. The jalapeño beans were tasteless and an undesirable texture. The potato salad tasted like sour cream with potatoes in it. All of that would have been okay if the price matched the quality, but even the value was terrible. Over $10 for this meal is not acceptable. I will admit, the ice cream was probably the best vanilla soft serve I have ever had, but this isn't an ice cream shop. I will not be going back. Attend with extreme caution.

If you are a bbq and smoke meat fan, this is the best place to go in green bay. the ribs is huge and tender fall of the bone, the beef brisket is so smoky and i also tried the chicken. i never had food that has the real smoke flavor to the meat. this is the place to go. Has 2 big screen tv, BIG yellow cup for my fav southern ice tea to wash all the goodness.

GO TO JOE'S INSTEAD. Turn east onto Lombardi, go to Ashland, turn North, and in less than a block, you'll find a little local place that clobbers this chain joint to smithereens. All in all, nothing outrageously bad about this place, but it's value is relational only to it's position on a BBQ continuum that places Joe's at the top. If I lived next door to this place, and Joe's wasn't within 40 miles, I'd go here occasionally. Free pickles and Ice cream though...

My family and I ate at Dickey's this weekend. The atmosphere was casual, with large benches filling up the dining area. We ordered two large plates, one with beef brisket and the other with turkey. The shredded turkey was good. All I could taste on the brisket was smoke and it was just, not good. I was pretty upset that a BBQ place was out of ribs on a Sat. night. For sides, we got the waffle fries, green beans & ceasar salad. The salad was fine and the waffle fries were actually really good. The green beans were super gross. The kids didn't touch them. We ended up paying over $40 for this. For two adults and three kids 5 and under. This is a lot of money for the quality of food we got. You also have to seat yourself and get all utensils, soda's, napkins, etc. Oh, the kids got free vanilla ice cream cones too. Definitely wasn't worth the $40 that we spent.

The fine aroma is enough to keep me coming back. The ribs and beef brisket were fantastic. Great sauces too. Two thumbs up for sure!

I liked this page the first few times I was there right after it opened. The service was very good. Since the restaurant first opened I've noticed that the ribs that I normally order have an inconsistent quality. You can have a fabulous, fall of the bone rib then the next one you get is tough and leathery on the outside. I really want this place to work but I'm afraid if the consistency of the food doesn't improve I'll find myself going to the BBQ place around the corner.

When they first opened they were awesome with an involved owner and friendly employees. They have since changed ownership, all of the prices went up immediately, they removed the dinner roll from the kids meals, and no one ever smiles there. It seems like they are just doing the bare minimum to stay open. Better off going 300 feet north to Joes Texas Barbeque, where the best of the original employees now work.

BBad service, crap food. Waste of time.

It was ok, but the pulled pork doesn't hold a candle to Joe's on Ashland. It will be hard to go back with them both being so close.
